Hello to every cat!
It is Monday and this mancat is a mancat enduring. The so called "weekend kittens" have turned into "staying a bit longer kittens" as the building work at the vets still isn't finished. Somehow, I knew this would happen. The humans are delighted at this turn of events. All weekend they have been spending time with the waifs, ooohing and aaaahing, dashing in and out of the bedroom with "special kitten only" fuuds and, it almost goes without saying, neglecting the rest of us.
I refuse to be churlish, that would be unmancatly of me, so I will introduce you to the kittens.
This is Gabbi. Gabbi is about 8 weeks old. She was rescued from the hoarder at 5 weeks old. She had the flu so badly her eye exploded and had to be removed. She doesn't miss her eye and due to the state she was found in at such a young age it is thought that she probably never had sight in it as the flu hit as soon as she was born. Gabbi is the most outgoing of the kittens. She eats, runs and plays faster than the two boys. She also loves the camera and purrs like a train running on a fast track. Gabbi is usually the first to try out new things, such as leaping off the bed and climbing about on top of the cage. Gabbi is the most boisterous.
This is Ash. He is about 9 to 10 weeks old but was the most poorly of all. Being so poorly with flu has meant that his growth is a little stunted and he is the smallest of all 3. Even smaller than tiny Gabbi. With the right care he will catch up. Ash is a lovebug, gentle, and very keen to love on humans. He still wrestles, brawls and plays hard with the others. Ash had a most terrible worm burden which is now cleared, but it will take his tiny insides a while to recover. He eats well but has to have a little break in the middle of each meal. Gabbi and Ash will be rehomed together as they are a bonded pair. All of the kittens are from different litters.
I will ignore the camera hogging show off Gabbi and her pink tongue whilst I introduce you to Simon. He is on the left. Simon is about 11 weeks old. His left eye was one step away from bursting when he was rescued. He came very close to losing it, but with intensive treatment it shrunk back to a normal size. It is now being left to see if it mends itself further. The prognosis is a guarded good. Inside the eye is still a little inflamed and watery, and as you may notice, a bit cloudy. He is not in pain. Simon is a serious young fella. He gets on well with Gabbi and Ash and they all play fiercely, nap and groom together. Simon likes to spend a bit of time on his own and enjoys having his dinner served a couple of feet away from the others. Simon is the sort of kitten who has to find his way to you. He will come and snuggle for some loving in his time, not yours. Simon will be rehomed on his own as it is believed that he would flourish as an only cat and this would give him the chance to build his confidence. Now for some more kitten goodness...

Ash notices that there is a big window...
..but more importantly this piece of litter needs an intense examination. I see a future in science for this young fella.
Gabbi believes that this play box is hers also, but Simon has other ideas.
Ash looks out at his world and is quite pleased.
Tired kittens. Their first serious napping session at their TEMPORARY accomodation.
On Saturday night, Simon made the great leap onto the windowsill and discovered the joy of moths. He sat there for ages whilst his friends got their snore on.
Incase anyone is concerned about Angel after her splendid sulk fest on Saturday. I am pleased to tell you all that she found a bed that would do for the day, and here she is, happy, cosy and purring by the radiator.

Well that's all from us for Monday. I have no doubt that the kittens will be appearing on the Everycat again and again and again... whilst the rest of us endure the most appalling neglect and misery.
