Wuudlemass Wednesday

For Whicky Wuudler, holiday decorating is a balancing actHow very true that is. Thank you to the very talented and kind girls of Zoolatry for this splendid Christmas portrait. I am hopeful that it will spur our procrastinating apes into getting those decorations down from the loft and allowing we cats to get on with some serious decorating actvities.

Now, for a catch up...

The ever thoughtful Miss Peach gave us this award for giving our support to the Mum of poor Mickey, the cat in Germany who was cruelly shot and sadly had to go to The Bridge

Thank you Miss Peach

Kiddo, that floofy, tuxie mancat, and the myriad and wonderful Creek Cats nominated us for the Lemonade Award. Thank you very much all. The Lemonade Award is given to sites which the giver show either great attitude and or gratitude.

The rules for these awards are:

1. Put the logo on your blog.

2. Add a link to the person who awarded you.

3. Nominate 10 other blogs.

4. Add links to those blogs on yours.

5. Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs

We nominate:
and finally....
Simon the Serious Foster Kitten has a home! ...and what a great home it is too. Simon has been adopted by a friend of the Nurse who rescued him. He is now living in luxury with two great humans, one friendly bunny and some ducks. Simon is now a Welsh Cat, which makes me very happy as my roots are in Wales. He has become much more confident, sleeps in bed with his new humans, is good chums with the bunny and is currently helping out with the Christmas decorations. Simon, we are really happy that you now have the forever home you deserve. We will never forget you.

Gabbi and Ash are still living comfortably at the vets. There has been plenty of interest in each one, but they will only be homed together as they are so closely bonded. Gabbi has become very leggy and Ash is turning into a thickset little silverback. His colouring is changing and he has a cape of white hairs mixed in with the black. The right people will turn up to give them a home, we are very optimistic.

Have a Wicked Wednesday every cat!

Hi Whicky. Thanks for stopping by, and for explaining about your ear. I'm so glad that you've now got a comfortable and loving home. I've got one interesting small scar from my life on the street...there's a perfectly round hole through the tip of my ear. (Meowy even put a hoop earring in it once, but i.did.not.like.that!)Sylvie is blushing, which is quite difficult for a little grey tiger cat to do!, and returns a petite moist cinnamon nose kiss to you.

That is one very cool picture! We love it. Our beans are slow with the Christmas decorations as well. Isn't it great that Simon has a good forever home. You do a great job welcoming in those foster kitties that wait for homes.
There are three of us here and we are fostering a quiet older tuxie at the moment. He still hisses at mom and hides, he is coming around though, bit by bit. The three of us are 'okay' with this. We still get (demand) our special attentions.

PS - things are underway to find the momma cat to the kittens we helpled place, a good home.

One more thing, we will get to the sixth picture meme, soon, it will be fun.

Hello Whicky!
I saw the question about the declaw picture on my blog.

That picture is not mine, I took it from flickr:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/18658153@N06/2636032707/

That person is from the UK too! And wrote a great article about it on Flickr
http://www.flickr.com/groups/all_cats/discuss/72157605773635272/

And the real picture is from another user:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/feralindeed/

In this set you can see more:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/feralindeed/sets/72157605907067926/

The picture has a licence, so you have to keep the link OR say: this photo is by.... or something

Sorry I did this too long but I had to investigate ;)

Hi Uncle Whicky,

It made Mom's day to know that dear little Simon has a loving forever home. She smiled - and there haven't been many smiles this week wiv her grandad dying and all.

Dat's a gorgeous pic of you too, Uncle Whicky - and the decorations are splendid.

Whicky's mum, Cal's mum here! Thanks so much for your advice. I have read so many conflicting things about diet on my searches. I am on information overload!

Cal was given Royal Canin Duck and Green Pea by our vet, but would not touch it with a ten foot pole. Today for lunch he did eat Canned EVO and kept it down while I was home, which is great! I am hoping with the meds he is back on the mend and will stick to this food, which is grain free and is one of the better canned foods out there.

Wow...a whole year to stabilize Angel!!! I am glad to hear she is doing well and is stabilized. I really need to learn to be more patient, it will be my new years resolution :)
Thanks again! Your advice was very helpful!

Such a lovely picture of you and such good news that Simon has found such a wonderful furrever home! Concats on your well-deserved awardies too! I do hope Abbi and Ash find their furrever homes soon too. I would welcome them in a trice but they are a bit far away so I think the travelling would be too traumatic.

Thanks for explaining your name. I love it and how it came to be:) xxx

Gabbi has a soft place in my heart....I had a one eye puss cat about 7 years ago come into my life. Like Gabbi, she was just a youngster when her eye was ulcerated and had to be removed as a result of some ass hole throwing a sack of kittens out of a moving car. She has lots to teach us about life as it never bothered her having one blue eye and she never felt sorry for herself and lived life to it's fullest. She was the most active and loving cat I'd ever had the pleasure of owning me. She did more exploring and shnanagins that the rest of the cats I lived with. She liked to sleep around the back of your neck but soon she got too big to do her napping there. Her name was cotton ball but I called her wink most of the time. She was rescued at the time by, my now ex beau, and still is with him and sun bathes in her warm window. She was an inspiration all right and is about 7 now. As for the other cats that were with her they were all fine and got good homes....
hey thanks for spraying my door and checking in on me occas...

That is so funny that you asked if my nickname is Squirrel. That would be a dangerous nickname to have in the cat blogosphere. It's hard out there for an evil squirrel. Mommy labeled the picture "squirrel" because it was in the same folder as pictures of evil squirrels. Please don't give Mommy any ideas...she just might start calling me "Squirrel".
