Purrs 4 Herman

Purring For Herman & Karen Jo

There's a cat on the Cat Blogosphere named Herman. He's a very special cat and he has a very special Mum, Karen Jo. For a long time, Karen Jo didn't have a cat of her own, but she loved the cats of the Cat Blogosphere and would write very funny & touching limericks about them on her blog Kitty Limericks

Then, one day, Karen Jo decided that the time was right for her to offer a home to a cat. Karen Jo met and fell in love with Herman. Now Herman wasn't just any cat. Herman had been through some baaad times, he'd lost his home, been passed around like a parcel, left outside, gotten infected with FeLv & FiV, finally been rescued and was now living safely in a foster home. He'd kinda lost his spirit a little bit along the way and Karen Jo was just the kind of tonic that a cat like Herman needed. It was meant to be.

Over the months we have read of Herman's new life at Herman's Hideaway Through delightful conversations between Herman & Karen Jo, we learned how Herman started to snuggle on the bed, how he'd learned to wake her up in the mornings, how he started playing with toys, how he purred and made happy paws in the air. This is Herman making happy paws....

Herman has recently been diagnosed as being in an advanced stage of active FeLv. He's been poorly for a little while now. Whilst his time on earth may be precarious, we know that Karen Jo is a great cat Mom to him and is giving him the very best care he could have. Herman will want for nothing. He is a very precious mancat.

We would like to send our rumbly purrs to Herman & Karen Jo. We wish them good times together, we wish them love.

So, please crank up your purr motors and join us in

Purrs4Herman

Brian's Home is hosting a special Purrs4Herman today, Sunday, so lets all head over there and show our love for this very special mancat & his Mom

Oh my, sorry to hear you've had these bad 'blockage' issues too! In 38 years of being owned by cats, this is Teri's first purrsonal experience, though of course she sees alot of cats with the same problems where she works. She is still quite worried and afurraid of a reoccurrance, but it's better to be aware and watch closely than in ignorant bliss...

And thanks for stopping by and purring for Brighton...your visits mean a lot to us!

Jans Funny Farm said...

Hey, you posted. And we missed it. Karen Jo has a good heart. It's hard to take in an animal knowing you might lose it at any time because you quickly grow so attached. It's easier to take in a young kitten figuring you'll have a lot of years before you have to say good-bye. It doesn't always work out that way, but special needs animals need special humans.

That was a really nice post. Good job.

Will pray for Herman and his mom. I know this is a hard time for them.

We know you don't blog much, but we had to leave you a message to thank you for wishing Zoe a happy Gotcha Day! We should have told more about the shelter - our mom says that no one should feel sad for those cats there. They're not in cages, and they have company for lots of hours most every day. The ladies that work the shelter love those cats so much, and they are very particular as to who adopts their cats. It's very sweet.

Anyway, thank you again - you kitties are super!!
