Sometimes an ape can shout to the heavens, scream, weep and rage like a tempest all they like, but the awful time has come. A beautiful and kind friend, a much loved character, a gentle soul has reached their final day on earth and all that can be done is to give the final and most difficult gift of all. A final moment, knowing how much they are loved.
A very wise and sweet soul has gone to The Bridge. Father Tom, a most beautiful, handsome and witty fellow feline has sadly left us. He, like so many, has gone too soon. He was only eight years old and despite every attempt to save him, his Mum Julie had to help him on his final journey.
Over the years Tom was a very good friend to our beloved Whicky Wuudler. We know Whicky will give Tom an especially hearty welcome at The Bridge, but here on earth Tom's Mum Julie needs your words of love right now. Her heart is broken.
We shall sing you to The Bridge with rumbly purrs and love. Tom, we will never forget you, you were one very special cat and the world is slightly less without you here.

The passing of Tim broke our hearts. We send purrs to his human who we know is missing him so very much.

It always hurts so much...the only comforts are knowing our loved kitty will never feel pain or fear again, and that we will see them again someday. Sending love and friendship to his human...

It breaks my heart about Father Tom. I know the pain as do all of us here on the CB. I remember Whicky so very well. He went to the Bridge before Admiral did but she was greeted by him and other loved fur friends when she arrived despite my desperation not to let her go...but I did knowing it was a loving kindness.
It hurts. We will all miss Tom as we still do Whicky. He is in my Rainbow page as are many furriends.

I was so very sorry when I heard that Tom had to be helped to the Bridge. There are so many of our beloved fur family there and every one that leaves takes broken hearts with them.
We were shocked and so very sad to hear about dear Father Tom. He will sure live in our hearts forever.
We are so sad about Tom...and knowing he was a good furriend to Whicky...well that means a lot to us.

So beautifully put, dear friends. Our hearts are utterly broken at Tom's departure to the Bridge, and for Mom Julie as she grieves his passing. We have been over to visit, and we wish there was something we could do or say to make it all better. But we know there is not, so we will purr and pray and send caring thoughts to her, and to the other kitties who are surely missing Tom.

I've visited Mom Julie to commiserate after Father Tom's passing. Just having lost my Gracie, and way too soon, I know how hard this is... as does everyone who gives their heart to these wonderful furry companions.

We are slowly visiting again, thanking everyone for their comforting and caring words. This post took our breath away and tears are streaming down my face, commonplace these many weeks as memories flood back and I imagine him still with us. Thank you so much for what you have expressed here. There would be no finer friend than Whicky awaiting Tom's appearance at the Bridge to escort him to watering holes and old friends.
